National Geographic Earth Day

Role - Senior Product Team Manager

Built a “Planet Possible” sub-brand encapsulating content, products, and experiences that support a love for the planet and hosted a streaming Earth Day Music event. Grew our addressable audiences by creating new features highlighting content around environmental consciousness for monetization through branded partnerships, influencer campaigns and products. This initiative lives on as an evergreen content platform on .com and app.

My role involved roadmapping key features and requirements for the 2.5 month long campaign. I managed the content strategy and implementation, then bullet-proofed the website for a flawless streaming event reaching millions of viewers.

National Geographic Interactive Experiences | Mars Rover

Role - Senior Product Team Manager

Plan the National Geographic website roadmap to support specialty experiences, key Marketing campaigns and Editorial storytelling. Drive brand affinity with never-before-seen interactive stories that bring users to the forefront of science, technology, travel and culture.

My role was to prioritize the features that would drive the most revenue growth, create the features using Agile methodology, manage stakeholder expectations and release them in time for an accompanying magazine print campaign.

Role - Senior Product Team Manager

Relaunched the VS Fall collection across the most-trafficked & highest-demand home and landing pages leveraging a new digital product built with the agility to re-merchandise on the fly, in a variety of layouts with multiple placements per page. This global platform product eliminated wasteful and manual maintenance on 4 cross-functional teams.

My role involved intaking the request, scoping & resourcing, guiding the product team through defining business requirements, aligning with requestors on the approach, successfully launching 3 phases and reporting to leadership on the results.

Fashion Show Digital Experiences

Role - Digital Program Director

My role was the Fashion Show digital program director and subject matter expert for 7 shows in 7 years. The program required full in-house staff as well as building budgets to hire temporary labor for each discipline of the Product Team. I developed a talent pipeline, created annual training materials and cultivated long term relationships with industry professionals who repeatedly came back. During that time I oversaw production of all website experiences and coordinated all channel drivers including App, OLA, Social & Email. At the close of each season I led hindsight meetings, developed analytics reports and presented Fashion Show digital performance to leadership. With a proven track record delivering the biggest, most complex, global event of the year, I built trusted relationships throughout all brands of the business.

Role - Fashion Show Digital Program Director

Inspire the customer to get the look using elevated video content that transitions from base bra and panty to the full, decked-out runway outfit. See the looks come to life with video and motion graphics that were used in all digital channels to promote the show and make it easy for customers to buy products from the runway.

I produced Model Metamorphosis video content from it’s conception for 3 years, securing funds, partnering with UX Design to select a vendor, set up the shoot, schedule post production and implement site integration and driver strategy. My role also involved coordinating Public Relations with Site Merchandisers and Planners to strategize which looks would drive the most value for the business. Each year I provided a report to leadership on customer insights, sentiment and associated sales to reflect on ROI.

Create a fun, entertaining destination where the customer can take a quiz to discover the best scent for them or use a utilitarian visual filter to quickly navigate to her favorite fragrance for speedy checkout.

My role involved driving discovery with Strategy and UX to define a clear usability plan. I coordinated communications, schedules and all project information between my front-end product team & the back-end platform teams and was responsible for end to end testing. Using business priorities and merchandising insights I created a weighted rubric leveraged for the quiz algorithm. With the creative team I vetted talent and budgeted for 3rd party illustrations.

Global Cross-Sell Enhancements

Role - Senior Product Team Manager

Drove overlapping category sales by building new and enhancing existing global cross-sell capabilities. The minimum viable product generated match-back panty purchases with bras on site. The next iteration rolled out to Swim, Beauty & Pink brands.

I’ve had the distinct pleasure of working with Rebecca on the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in 2016 and 2018. From inception, Rebecca created a clear and concise foundation for which all digital production work should be built upon. Rebecca goes above and beyond to articulate and define the scope of any project on behalf of her team, as well as Fashion Show stakeholders. Adept at communicating on an executive level, she also brings and unrivaled passion and affinity to every meeting, project and team member she engages. In addition, she is able to balance the myriad of Fashion Show responsibilities with other brand wide initiatives, including all holiday custom projects, re-launching Swim, building new capabilities into the platform, beauty custom projects and much more.
— Peter Jablonski, Senior Digital Producer
I’ve learned the hard way that you can have the most talented creatives on a project but if you don’t have a good producer, the process and the outcome will suffer. Rebecca isn’t just a good producer. She’s a phenomenal one. Proactive. Thorough. Grace under pressure. A great detective, juggler and communicator. Rebecca amazes me with her grasp of all the technical aspects of a project, but at the same time she gets copy and has a strong understanding of creative. She asks all the right questions, and she gets the answers. And she makes sure we all have a good time with it along the way. I’m fortunate to have partnered with her the past several years on all the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show digital projects, as well as countless others. The first thing I ask when I hear about a new project is, ‘Who is the producer?’. When the answer is ‘Rebecca’, I know we’re set up for success.
— Mori Mickelson, Copy Manager
I learned a great deal working as a producer under Rebecca. Not only has she taught me the production basics, she’s given me valuable insight on what it means to be a great leader. She’s approachable, patient, and constantly works to support her team. Her exceptional communication skills enable her to maintain good relationships with team members and cross-functional partners alike. Rebecca is thorough and invested in her projects and stays consistently forward-thinking and curious about ways to improve. I continue to look to her as a mentor and, given the opportunity, I would jump at the chance to work with Rebecca again.
— Bernice Ho, Senior Digital Producer
Rebecca is a great professional, and it was a great honor to have her speak at our event, BridgeTo Campus Conference in Digital Advertising. She is organized and charismatic, a great speaker, and superior in her field (and charming)). Owners of various companies abroad, creative directors, and other great players of Digital marketing, had the pleasure to gain great knowledge, innovative ideas from Rebecca’s presentation, her vibe, and the experiences which she passionately shared at our event. Future collaborations with Rebecca are certain, for her proficiency in the field is outstanding. Thank you Rebecca.
